How does the plate help me lose weight?
We have designed a portion control plate that provides the exact portion sizes of the right food groups to create a balanced meal. One plate when filled following our food guide will be approximately 400 calories. For weight loss, women eat three plates per day and men eat four. You should sustainably lose 1% of your body weight each week when using our plate. We also provide measuring cups for vegetables, carbohydrates, protein, and fats if you need to portion control when not using the plate. A detailed food guide is also included plus a free 50-page recipe ebook and a supportive community Facebook group.
Why have you designed the plate to focus on high protein?
Clinical studies show that consuming higher amounts of protein when you are on a weight loss plan will help the body to burn fat instead of muscle. Higher protein consumption will also let you continue to build muscle and gain strength from your training program even while you are losing weight. Maintaining your muscle tone is really important both for a better physical appearance at the end of your weight loss and also for your health as stronger muscles will improve your mobility and prevent injury. Higher protein will also help you feel fuller for longer and give you more sustained energy throughout the day. This should help you avoid any energy slump/ hungry snacking.
What if I just want to maintain my weight?
Our perfect portion program is designed for those who want to lose weight as well as weight maintenance. Our food guide outlines additional portions for those looking to maintain their weight and it’s the perfect tool for ensuring each of your meals is perfectly balanced. When you follow our food guidelines, each plate will approximately total what is required depending on your needs.
Are they dishwasher and microwave safe?
You are able to put the Portion Cups into the Dishwasher, however, the Bamboo Portion Plate is NOT dishwasher safe. Neither product should be used in a microwave.

What material is the plate made from?
The Perfect Portion Plate is made from sustainable bamboo.  Do not microwave or put in the dishwasher.
Why is there a plate and cups?
We have made both the plate and cups as everyone likes to prepare differently.  The cup measurements are the same portion size as each section on the plate.  Each section provides the exact amount of proteins, carbohydrates, vegetables, and fat for each meal. The cups are perfect if you need to portion control into a Tupperware container or for food preparation.
Can I also eat out?
Yes, you can. Our plate will help train you in the correct portion sizes and what types of foods offer the best nutrition. If you want to eat out occasionally then you will be able to choose menu options and portion sizes that are similar to the plate. If you eat out frequently then we suggest you bring your plate and ensure you fill it with foods that are advised in the food guide.
What if I have a specific dietary requirement?
Our food guide describes how you can use the plate if you are a vegetarian or vegan. It can sometimes be challenging to get enough protein in your diet so we have provided instructions on how to achieve this by using our plate.
Do I also need to exercise?
No, you do not need to exercise to lose weight on this program. However, we do highly recommend everyone does resistance training to build strength and exercise regularly for optimal health.  Our fabric resistance bands have helped over 1 million women with their fitness and health.
